Silk is much loved for its lustrous shine and ability to regulate temperatures, keeping you cool in summer and warm in winter. To keep it at its best, it should be dry cleaned or washed by hand, using natural detergents and at a low temperature; we suggest no higher than 30°. Leaving silk in water can result in a loss of shine. Avoid rubbing and immerse in water for a short time only. When drying, do not wring or use a tumble dryer. Instead, lay it flat and allow to dry naturally. If ironing this delicate fabric, iron on the reverse, keeping the temperature no higher than 110° and avoid steam.

We recommend always hand washing your SERESAN in cool water - this will preserve the life of the garment and the saturation of its colour. Always use a specialist silk detergent, Olivia loves using The Laundress Delicate Wash. 

Cashmere is a luxurious and delicate fabric that requires special care to maintain its softness and longevity. The best way to clean cashmere is by hand washing with a mild detergent designed for delicate fabrics or wool The Laundress Delicate Wash. Submerge the cashmere item in cold to lukewarm water and gently swirl it around without rubbing or wringing. Rinse thoroughly, press out excess water between dry towels, and lay it flat to dry away from direct sunlight. Store your cashmere items in a cool, dry place, folded rather than hung, to maintain their shape. Use a cashmere comb or fabric shaver for pilling. Avoid frequent washing and consider professional cleaning for tough stains. By following these care tips, you can enjoy the softness and warmth of your cashmere items for many years to come.
